1. Project Background
Given the health challenges in refugee camps, especially in areas affected by displacement and humanitarian crises, this project was implemented by Al-Baraka Zone in collaboration with the Red Cross and UNHCR, aiming to strengthen health awareness and expand vaccination coverage in the refugee camp in the Lac Region – Chad, thereby helping prevent diseases and protect the most vulnerable populations.
2. Project Objectives
Raise the level of health awareness among refugees regarding disease prevention.
Encourage beneficiaries to participate in vaccination campaigns.
Reduce the spread of diseases within the camp.
Support the humanitarian and health efforts of partner organizations operating in the camp.
Protect children, women, and the elderly from health risks.
3. Project Components and Activities
The project included the following activities:
First: Health Awareness
Organizing awareness sessions within the camp.
Providing simple information about health prevention and the importance of vaccination.
Using communication tools suitable for the camp environment.
Targeting families and the most vulnerable groups.
Number of beneficiaries reached through awareness: 1,170 people
Second: Vaccination Campaigns
Conducting field vaccination campaigns within the camp.
Coordinating with health teams from partner organizations.
